Regional grants: driving systemic change
The Steve Morgan Foundation is committed to making a transformative impact across our region. Each year, we will award 8 to 10 regional grants, creating a unique opportunity for exceptional organisations to lead long-term, systemic change.
Grants of £250,000 – £500,000 over three years are available for eligible not-for-profit organisations tackling the root causes of social disadvantage affecting children, young people, and their families.
We are looking for ambitious, high-performing organisations that can deliver sustainable solutions to improve education, access to provision, and employment, which create lasting change across diverse communities.
What we expect
We welcome applications from organisations that:
- Operate within our geographical remit and deliver work locally.
- Seek a grant of £250,000 – £500,000 over three years.
- Have an annual turnover of £300,000 – £5 million.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of high-quality delivery, measurable impact, and ambition for growth.
- Work collaboratively, building strong partnerships to amplify outcomes.

Regional focus
The Steve Morgan Foundation is committed to bringing positive, lasting change to the areas closest to Steve's heart. We aim to deliver regional impact and have a national influence for good. We provide regional grants across Merseyside, North Wales, North Shropshire and Cheshire, west of the M6. Please view our map for a guideline to the eligible areas.
Our areas of focus
Our grant making will deliver longer-term and larger scale investments around three key themes. These themes draw on the success of past and current strategic partnerships that have demonstrated proven results.
Education
Improving education outcomes for all young people - setting solid foundations to build a successful future.
Access to provision
Expanding access to provision for those most in need of support with health, housing, homelessness, youth opportunities and facilities.
Employment
Increasing careers support and employment opportunities for young people and adults.
Whizz Kidz
A three year partnership to reopen wait lists and support the provision of wheelchairs for children and young people across our region.
