Steve Morgan Foundation sponsors the Believe Awards

We are pleased to announce that the Steve Morgan Foundation is sponsoring the Believe Awards.

Believe Awards

Now in its 7th year the awards recognise and champion young people from all around Merseyside who have demonstrated strength of character, resilience, kindness, carried out good deeds or provided a service to others. The event aims to challenge the often negative representation of young people by celebrating those who may be facing great challenges, but who do so with determination and selflessness.

This year the Steve Morgan Foundation has sponsored the awards which will take place on 28th June at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.

Steve Morgan, CBE said, “The Believe Awards are a brilliant initiative, the awards play an important role in recognising just how amazing many of the young people in the region are. At the Steve Morgan Foundation we work hard to make a difference and the Believe Awards do just that so we are really pleased to be involved in such a wonderful event.”

The awards are hosted by children’s charity Ykids and Radio City’s Cash for Kids and call for nominations for inspiring children who deserve to be recognised. Individuals aged between 7 and 17 can be nominated by family, friends, their school or someone from their local community.

Each year the awards are based on a theme and for 2017 the theme is heroes from children’s literature.   There are 10 categories of award and these include The Matilda award for bringing magic to others, The Bear Hunt award for making it through a difficult journey and The BFG award for the biggest friend.

Winners and their guests will enjoy an evening of food and entertainment at a glittering awards ceremony.

More information on the awards and how to nominate someone is available on the Believe Awards website.
