Cheque Handed Over To Dallaglio RugbyWorks

Steve Morgan Foundation’s Director of Funding Jane Harris visited the New Horizons Academy in Warrington to officially hand over a cheque to the Dallaglio RugbyWorks charity.

The Foundation is donating £45,000 to enable Dallaglio RugbyWorks to deliver their social inclusion programme to the Academy helping to make a tangible, positive change for disadvantaged teenagers in the region.

Set up by England rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, the charity helps young people excluded from mainstream UK schools to achieve sustained education, employment or training by leveraging rugby’s values of discipline, respect and commitment.

Jane, who was present for a session of CV writing put on by the charity, says: “At the Steve Morgan Foundation, we are committed to supporting charities and community groups which have a real impact at the grass roots of society.

“Dallaglio Rugbyworks is certainly one of those charities, offering young people who may have suffered difficulties for a variety of reasons a fresh opportunity to change their lives for the better.

“Our trustees are delighted to be making this award, and look forward to seeing the young people from Warrington’s New Horizons Academy develop and progress under the guidance of the charity.”
