Celebrating the work of our trustees

As part of Trustees’ Week, we’d like to pay tribute to the Steve Morgan Foundation’s team of hard-working trustees.

Trustees’ Week is an annual celebration of the role the 700,000 volunteer trustees play in charities and voluntary organisations in England and Wales.

This year’s Trustees’ Week takes place between November 1-5 and we thought we’d shine a light on the Steve Morgan Foundation’s seven-strong board of trustees.

It’s headed up by founder and philanthropist Steve Morgan who said: “To me it’s about giving something back and it’s a joy to be in a position to be able to help the people who really need it.”

He was joined on the board of trustees by his wife Sally in 2015. An experienced businesswoman in her own right she said: “I’m particularly proud that as trustees we all visit and take a close interest in the many charities we support.”

The other trustees are Rhiannon Walker OBE; Vincent Fairclough; Ashley Lewis; Jonathan Masters; and Brian Clark.

Brian joined as a trustee in 2019 after a 30+ year career as an accountant. He said: “Throughout my career I have always looked to support worthy causes. I love the fact that all of the trustees spend time visiting the great causes Steve’s generosity supports.”

Jane Harris, director of regional grants at the Steve Morgan Foundation, said: “The trustees meet every two months and bring a wealth of experience with them. They pride themselves on visiting charities and their hard work is much appreciated.”
