£89,000 awarded

A charity which helps people across North Wales who have been the victims of sexual violence and abuse is ready to develop further with thanks to a three-year grant from the Steve Morgan Foundation.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre in Parc Menai has been awarded funding of £89,000 to help with a new role of Lead Clinician, which will work across all six counties of North Wales.

Allie Regan is the successful applicant who will take up the new position, the latest development for a charity which was first launched by four women in their kitchen in Bangor back in 1984.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre has centres and venues in all of the six counties of North Wales, offering equality of access to all the population of the area.

They offer one-to-one counselling for anyone who has been subjected to any form of sexual violence, whether recent, or further back in time.
