£67,500 donated

Foryd Community Hub received £67,500 over three years towards the role of a Volunteer Co-Ordinator.

The Rhyl-based Hub, which runs with the help of many volunteers, provides a wide range of services to the benefit of the local community.

A lot of the support offered is linked to finance in terms of offering advice on benefits and welfare, but extends to trying to help people into employment with CV’s and job applications, and a mini job centre where people can upload their CVs and look for jobs.

The Hub also focuses on digital inclusion with free access to a computer suite and WIFI, as well as providing community transport for people over 55 or people with disabilities, two lunch clubs per week for older people, and a food bank.
