£6,776 awarded

Flintshire charity Daffodils,  which supports disabled children and their families, is sending out craft packs to youngsters every few weeks until July after receiving emergency funding.

Daffodils is run by its members and was started 20 years ago because of the lack of support available for children with a range of special needs including autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome and ADHD.

Office manager Anita James said an award of £6,776 by the Steve Morgan Foundation is allowing them to send out craft packs out to youngsters every few weeks until July.

The Steve Morgan Foundation has been working with Daffodils since 2007 and the latest grant brings the amount awarded to them in that time to over £200,000.
